Well, tomorrow I set off for my first time on board the Norwegian coastal ship, Havila Polaris. This is one of the ships that does the mail and cargo deliveries to the smaller outposts along the Norwegian coast from Bergen to Kirkenes and back. In all, we visit 34 ports in twelve days! This particular voyage is advertised as an “Astronomy Cruise” and I will be presenting talks, doing stargazing nights and conducting my usual “Aurora Watch” sessions. As this is my first time on board Havila, I’m excited to see what the experience brings.
